Had a pretty decent stay! The room was spacious and had all the essentials, plus a handy microwave and utensils, which was a nice surprise. Loved that it was just a short walk to some fab fish and chip shops and a great Chinese takeaway. Super comfy big bed too, perfect for catching up on Z's after a day out!

But not everything was smooth sailing. The fridge's chiller compartment was pretty tiny—good luck keeping ice cream frozen! there were no power outlets next to the bed, which meant I had to wrestle with an extension cord to charge my phone. A bit annoying but manageable, I guess.

Tbh, had a fine stay during Supercars weekend. The food was DELICIOUS with a lot of alternatives. The location was comfortable, just next door to the shopping malls and buses, many shop's, and Townsville with the best management. Loved quick check-in and late check-out.

The staff were all exceptional, which was unquestionably a plus. We appreciated rooms with 2 beds...

I had a fantastic stay with great value for my money, and the room was spacious and spotless. The staff were welcoming and helpful, making me feel right at home in a convenient location near shops and eateries.

We stayed at the motel for a short trip related to a hospital visit, and it exceeded our expectations. The staff were welcoming and made us feel like family. Our room was spotless and well-equipped with a huge Smart TV. The beds were very comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the lovely swimming pool was a good bonus. Parking right in front of our door added to the convenience, and we always felt secure.

Noisy air conditioner

I arrived late after a long drive and was so relieved to find my room at the Billabong was comfortable and clean, with a cozy bed and good shower. Just a bit noisy outside at night, but overall, I’ll recommend it!

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was well maintained and clean and very welcome after travelling around the city. The staff were courteous and friendly.

The kitchenette was a little under supplied with utensils for preparing simple meals. eg there was no chopping board for preparing food on and no sharp knife for slicing. (It was a challenge preparing sandwiches to take on a picnic for this reason, but we managed all the same). It would also be very helpful if directions to the Motel were posted on the web site - for example the SUBURB (web stated Townsville ehn it is actually quite a distance from the city), and which buses to catch to get there from the city.

This recently renovated unit with three beds offers great value for money, has friendly staff, a beautiful pool, and is conveniently located near shopping areas.

Noise from other rooms was sometimes too much, not enough privacy

Jess was incredibly helpful and made me feel welcome. The units were cozy and spotlessly clean, which really enhanced my comfort. I particularly appreciated the spacious shower with a fantastic shower head and the convenience of having a sink in the main room for washing baby bottles. The pool area looked inviting, and the beds were super comfortable. I was also pleased to find free parking available.

Billabong Lodge Motel offers excellent value with recently refurbished rooms. the helpful staff enhances the overall experience. It's conveniently located near various shops and restaurants, as well as the Cowboys' new stadium, making it absolutely perfect. We particularly enjoyed the Chinese cuisine at the restaurant.

The staff were friendly and always ready to help, no matter the time of day. the atmosphere here felt very much like a family environment. 😊.
